A little bit of background....

I truly believe I was gifted by God with an artistic talent from birth.  Although I drew throughout my early life, I worked almost exclusively in charcoal and pen & ink.  Only recently did I discover the fascinating world of watercolor.  After thirty years in the mining industry I have devoted my remaining life's work to using my talents, painting and developing a style of my own.

Subjects of my recent work include still life paintings, landscapes, harbor scenes and architectural motifs.  I find that I'm continually drawn to the fast disappearing rural American life.

I was born in the hills of eastern West Virginia, growing up in the small town of Berkeley Springs and currently reside with my beautiful wife on top of a nearby mountain.  

God has blessed us with two fabulous sons, two wonderful daughters-in-law, and THREE gorgeous granddaughters...........!!!!   

Having just gotten started in the art show arena some of my watercolors have been selected by the Southwest Watercolor Society for their Annual Shows and have won several awards in shows sponsored by ExxonMobil Corporation, the Dallas, TX Business Community for the Arts and the Morgan Arts Council in Berkeley Springs, WV.
